MDA 5K Fun Run - EastChase - 11 Nov, 08:00 AM

Three Decades. Two Partners. One Great Cause.
The Inaugural ERA Weeks & Browning Realty, Inc. MDA 5K Fun Run

Here at ERA Weeks & Browning we like to give back to the community that has supported us for so long. That is why we have been one of the largest supporters of the MDA for 30 years. Each year we attend many MDA fundraisers and show our support for a great cause.

This year we want to take our support up a level so we are hosting the first ever ERA MDA 5K Fun Run. This is a great opportunity for those who love to run or those who just want to come out and support a great cause and get together to make an impact on someone’s life.

Thanks to the Montgomery Track Club we have laid out a great course that will be challenging and fun. The run will be clocked and scored; also we are in the early stages of getting the course certified.

The festivities will take place on Saturday, November 11th at ERA Weeks & Browning Realty, Inc. located in East Chase behind Gold’s Gym. You have two options for registration; you can pre-register on Friday, November 10th at ERA Weeks & Browning from 5pm to 7:30pm or you can wait till race day.

Race day registration will begin at 6:30am and go until 7:45am. If you pre-register it is only a $22 fee, if you wait till race day it will be $25. To give you an idea of the impact you will be making it takes $25 to pay for one flu shot for someone suffering from muscular dystrophy.

Y102 will be on hand doing a remote broadcast from the event and will be providing pizza and Pepsi after the run. Everyone who signs up will receive a T-shirt and the winners of each age category will receive a sweatshirt.

There will also be a brief kid’s fun run after the 5K.

We look forward to seeing you there so we can “HOME IN ON A CURE”.

If you have any questions please contact J.C. Schulte the run coordinator at (334) 220-6675 or you can e-mail him at jc.schulte@era.com.

The MTRC has been asked to participate with course measurement, timing and tabulation.

The course is rolling , to flat, meandering into the Halcyon neighborhood, turns near Metro-Fitness and back to EastChase Chantilly, finishing at ERA. To volunteer or more info Contact : West Marcus 263-2424 Grahare@peoplepc.com
