5K starts at 9:00 a.m. 1 Mile starts at 10:00 a.m.

The Polar Bear 5K Race is certified by USATF (AL98003JD) and organized by B & B Race Services. The race starts and ends on Third Street in front of First Baptist Church. The course is mostly flat with a few "hilly" sections. There will be water stations at the halfway and finish points.

Fees

$20 - Race Day (begins 7:30 a.m.)
$20 - Phantom Runner
The entry fee does include both races for those who wish to run the 5K and the 1 Mile Fun Run

Chief Ladiga Trail Half Marathon - Piedmont to Jacksonville, Alabama

Date: Saturday, December 6, 2008

This is a 5th annual race.
The race is from Piedmont to Jacksonville in even numbered years.
The race is from Jacksonville to Piedmont in odd numbered years.
You may park and register at the Jacksonville Community Center
and ride a shuttle bus to Piedmont before the race.
The last bus before the race will depart Jacksonville at 7:30AM.
Alternatively, you may park and register at the Piedmont Welcome Center
and ride a shuttle bus back to Piedmont after the race.

COURSE:
The race is entirely on the Chief Ladiga Trail whih is Alabama's first extended
rails-to-trails project. Along the way enjoy beautiful wetlands, streams, forests,
farmland and a horizon filled with mountains. The entire course is paved and flat.
